Where is all the educational abandonware for the II series?

Hello! I was weaned on the Apple II, and am amazed at the availability of abandoned games and utilities that I once dreamed about when seeing them advertized in NIBBLE and other magazines. It's great to be able to fire up AppleWin and get engaged in a good old game of Lode Runner, Castle Wolfenstein or Star Thief. A few years ago I went on a scan-fest of all my old games, utils and docs disks and uploaded to Asimov all the titles I had that were not already present on that site.

My question pertains to educational titles. We all know the Apple II series was common fare in schools for quite a few years. Now that schools have moved on to Macs and/or PCs, I was wondering what has become of all that software. I have been unable to locate significant collections of educational software in any of the major Apple II software repositories. Sticky Bear Shapes and similar fare are about all I've found so far. Are these titles indeed "abandonware" or do the educational co's still defend the copyrights, preventing the sharing of such software? My kids love timeless Apple II eduware such as Pick-A-Dilly and would love to use more of these programs to accentuate their learning experiences.

Thanks!
