There really isn't any "correct" slot--anything but slot 3 will work--but
there is a conventional slot for a 3.5" drive: slot 5. The first drive you
attach to the controller will be drive 1 and the second (daisychained)
will be drive 2.
800KB drives show up _very_ regularly on eBay, and usually sell for
about $7. Controllers are a little more unusual, with the "Liron"
controller going for $20-$40 and the 1.44MB 3.5" controller rarest,
going for $50-$90.
