...Either that, or there is something wrong with the image (possible; I
had never used nib2file before) or with the original disk, although I tried
it on a ][e albeit on a very short program.

The manual says it isn't copy protected, but when I tried making the .DSK
image, I got an error on track #00 (DSK2FILE).  NIB2FILE didn't report any
errors making the image.  If you do convert that image to a real disk and
try it on a real ][, let us know what you find out!
