Yeah. I would love to call it, but I've had my LD
removed and do not plan to get it back on. It just
gets me into too much trouble financially.
: It'll be a little more work than that, as I will have to
implement it
: myself for legal reasons. But I do have the complete specs and
a few
: good books on serial communications, programming and protocols.
Legal?, what's that? Oh yeah, that's when you be careful
so you don't get caught. ;-)
: The ML code sounds cool. I hope to get into that a bit more.
I was

Hey, I could use some subroutine code right about now.
Only thing is I'll be programming for smartport. I'm
sure I'd need something a little more extensive than those.
I've found a good source of info now and he's been very
generous. I hope I don't overstep my boundaries. Of course
he'll be sure to tell me when I do. I'm learning a lot about
computer interfacing from many sources, but he's been the
most help so far. We do share info though. What I have that
he doesn't I send and vice-versa. It's nice to have someone
to work with.

: Well, actually, the relation goes up the line to his brother..
So I'm
: not a direct decendant. My father has done a lot of our
geneology
: history, even published a book on our family history last year.
Reads
: more like an encyclopedia though. I'm still learning about it.
I do
: know that I'm related to the only child (girl, forget her name
now)
: that was born on the Mayflower en-route to the America's. So
I'm a
: member of the Mayflower society. Fun stuff to learn about!
So very kool. I know I'm related to the Gerber Family.
My father explained that in Germany they spelled our
name Gaerber and when they came to America, they had
a big feud and we split up into 2 sides, one taking the
"a" and the others the "e". So now we are 2 separate
clans, probably not related at all after a couple of
hundred years. I wish I had come from the other half,
they have money. LMAO!
: >Can't wait to see how you do.
: Ditto! It's coming along and it's gonna be a blast!
Bring it on. As I said, I need more reason to use
the Apple IIs. ;-) I'm thinking seriously about
joining Syndicomm.
