Hi,
I can send you copies of GS/OS 5.0.4 on 3.5" disk for $3.
Or GS/OS 6.0.1 on 3.5" disks for $6.50. These disks will
be guaranteed to work and will save you the hassle of down-
loading it and trying to make your own disks. It is possible
to set up a server on a Mac and boot the GS from there, but
1 mb of ram is very tight on a rom1 GS running 6.0.1, I would
suggest finding a 4 mb ram card or running 5.0.4. There are also
available from Rich Dreher a CFFA card that uses Compact
Flash cards. I have a 128 mb in my GS and it works just fine,
and I might add very quiet. The address to order this is as
follows:
http://dreher.net/CFforAppleII/
I did have IDE drives for the GS of 800mb but I am out of them now
and I don't think I can afford to make them available for a couple months.
You could also grab a Focus drive from eBay or from AllTech at this
Address:
http://www.allelec.com/indexa2.html
Give those a try and if you'd like to add SCSI to your system
instead, let me know, I may have a SCSI card available soon.
Also have a couple SCSI drives.
