Apple never sold 5.25" HD drives for any of their systems AFAIK. No idea
if anybody else made them for the Apples. In the standard Apple drives
it's not recommended to use HD disks - you use them today, data is gone
tomorrow. It's flaky, inconsistent behaviour you're looking for; it
might work in some drives but not in others; generally it's not a good idea.
