Some vendors indicate this but most don't.

Would anyone else agree with me that Ebay should force sellers to
indicate
that photo representations of articals for sale should state wether it
is
the actual artical for sale?

I have seen several auctions of IIc+'s that used the same picture where
the
actual text description varied quite a bit. They show a pristine machine
which may or may not be acurate...

Most retailers indicate something to that effect if the picture they
publish
does not acturately reflect the goods being sold. Something used most
likely
is not in the same condition as a stock apple photo of the original
product
for example

I know ...buyer beware and ask questions first ... I just think is sucks
and
I am tending to pass up auctions where I think the vendor has used stock
or
borrowed photos and has not disclosed this fact in the auction details.

I think it sucks, too.  I usually just keep on keepin' on unless I
really want one and the item hardly ever shows up on eBay.  I'll e-mail
them and bug them for more pictures if I convince myself I have to have
it.  Usually, it gives me time to remind myself that I don't actually
need it that bad.  If they are that piss-poor of a salesperson, then
they can go get ******.
    I always show actual pictures of what I am selling.  I sometimes
state that if you want more pictures, e-mail me.  That is in addition to
the standard of "if you have any questions, please e-mail me".
