The first rule of maintenance is: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." ;-)
Seriously, if the grease is still grease and is not too dirty,
leave it alone. There are lots of bad things that can happen
in the process of cleaning and re-greasing a disk drive, and
it isn't worth it for one that's working.
Now that you know how to take it apart, you know that you
can work on it if and when it needs it. ;-)
(BTW, Tony Diaz has an article on cleaning and relubricating
an 800K drive on his website.)
