Well, my Atari 800 is actually older than I am (born in '81). I replaced my
800 with a 130XE, but I still have the 800. I first started programming at
about the age of 8, and by then the 8-bit was on it's way out the door. But,
even so, I cabbaged onto every resource manual, book, article, whatever I
could find that was 8-bit related and havn't let go of it yet.

Long live the Atari 8-bit! Long live all the old computers! They all rocked.
(this coming from a person who barely remembers the 80's...)

Oh, yeah, BTW: We had C64 and C128 machines at my school for YEARS. We still
had them when I graduated, and, oddly enough, no one ever complained about
"the crappy computers". Most of the people that I went to school with were
like "Oh! Cool! A C64! I have one at home".
