Hi.  If it were mine, I'd try to swap out power supplies and see if that
fixed it.  Maybe you can find an Apple IIe at a thrift store or just buy a
power supply from someone.  One can usually buy a IIe power supply for about
$5, plus shipping.
    Look for the lights and sound Wayne Stewart mentioned.
