forgot to mention...
there is a simpler but destructive/irreversable technique for removing
chips. that is you can use a small pair of side cutters and snip each leg of
the 3 cache chips, then you can remove each remaining leg stuck in the board
by heating up with a fine iron and pulling the leg with tweezers. not a
method I would use, because I don't like destroying perfectly good chips,
but it is an option if you have less professional tools available and don't
want or need to preserve the original chips.
