yes I forgot, changing the cache chips is quite difficult if you havn't
removed ICs before. placing new ones in is a little simpler. I used a
slightly different technique than Tony Diaz, by angling the chip legs at
about 40-50deg from the shoulder the end of the legs reached the board just
neatly. Tony bent his where the leg tapers which required that a piece of
insulating material be placed under the chip to prevent the legs shorting
with any tracks on the board. I didn't need that on mine. sorry I don't have
a picture, I will see if I can put one up on the net for comparasin.
as far as I know there is no point increasing the CPU speed much unless you
do change the cache as well.

should use between 15ns-35ns SRAMs depending on the clock freq. you use.
my original 7MHz TWGS had 45ns SRAMs, so it would be logical that to double
the CPU speed you need to halve the SRAM time (unless 45ns was an overkill).
so to go to 14MHz I would assume that 20ns or less would be required.
I put 15ns SRAMs in mine and they weren't hard to find, so I'd suggest go
for 15-20ns (or less) in any case so you can try/use any speed up to
14-16MHz, which seems to be the upper limit of the TWGS.
