I managed to get it at less than the cheapest new IDE drives over here,
although not much less ($56AU vs $69AU). of course adding the SCSI card
pushes it over the new IDE price, but well worth it IMO. I went for the SCSI
model as all my PC/Mac/GS stuff is more likely to be interchangable. So far
I have a SCSI Scanner, and a SCSI CD-R that works on both platforms. also I
hate wasting interupts on the PC just to add another device. SCSI solves
that, just one interupt for all SCSI devices (up to 7), and I will have 4
soon (CD/CD-R/DVD/Scanner). if I could afford a large SCSI HD I'd get one of
them too.
whether it works on my 68K Mac or GS I have yet to discover. and as I don't
have a DVD-R I will never know if ProDOS/HFS is possible, can't see why not,
but is there any need for 4G/8G on a GS ! ?
