I don't know specifically about the Snapshot card, but I expect
that it is one of the several NMI (non-maskable interrupt) cards
that was produced.

The concept is that the running (and completely loaded) game
is interrupted and the state of a few critical regions (like the
text screen, the input buffer, and the stack) are copied to
on-card SRAM, then the user is given options to write out
the memory image and the saved info with a loader that will
put Humpty Dumpty back together again and re-start it.

Therefore, the operation of the card depends only on whether
the game is a "single load" game that doesn't touch its disk
again after starting, and does not depend on whether the
disk is copy protected or not (though, of course, it is
most useful when the disk is protected ;-).
