Re: Low-level vs. High-level programming (was My First Computer)
HTML is a markup language. It is a document formatting laguage. It is not
even a script language but script languages can be incorporated. PHP is
more programming but it is really a scripting language but server-side
unlike Javascript which is also a scripting language but is client-side.
I have a little understanding of this myself. HTML simple indicates the
formatting of documents but is really crappy and will be replaced with
XHTML and XML with CSS. This is the new web format that is coming about and
will be much cleaner and actually much easier to process. An idea of
formatting XML documents to GEOWRITE is potenially there and seems rather
interesting and easier then a crappy HTML which has really piss poor Font
formatting.
I am getting into PHP & Javascripts and CSS. Later a simplified language
similar to WML maybe made. This will be rather cool.
I have some simple PHP uses on my website whether you easily see it or not.
Check the Online Store section that is under contruction.
