Sounds interesting. Now all we need is "Apple Beige". ;-)
BTW, your story reminded me of the painter's mantra: "Three
light coats, sprayed in quick succession, are better than one
heavy coat."
Oh, and that other one: "Wait for a calm day and paint
in the shade..." ;-)
