What did you use to do this operation? A Mac? If so, you forked the files.
One way to get around this is to download the disk images from Apple's
archives. Use DiskCopy to write the images to floppy, or DiskDup+. DiskDup+
works with PowerMacs that have the manual inject floppy drives, DiskCopy
doesn't.
That method makes bootable disks.
