analog vga cable for a Apple IIGS

Anyways, I have an original Apple2 GS, all original, bought 1 month
after going on the market in '86 (or thereabouts)...WOZ limited
edition, original ROM, 1mb expansion card, no hdd, 1 3.5 and 1 5.25...

...anyways, I would like to boot it up and relive old days of playing
100s of games....or at least try it.

My vga cable is defective, has been basically shredded on one end.

It was plugged into a Sony 13" TV with a push button to make it be a
vga monitor.

I was wondering if anybody made a cable, could even be a bnc one or a
converter to go on the end of a standard bnc cable for a wintel
machine's monitor.

At the very least, I could use a replacement cable; here's the
physical description:

The end of the cable that connects to the Apple2 is a male end wide
style serial plug, has a total of 8 pins showing.

The end that plugged into the 'analog' port of the monitor looks like
a floppy drive cable parrellel plastic connector.....36 pin total.

Anyone have any help?

Also, what is an original, nothing, absolutely nothing modified Apple2
GS with the 'woz limited edition' print on the front, no hdd, 1mb
expansion, 100s of games, Appleworks, couple of other items, and an
Imagewrite II with both color/black ink ribbons?

I was told it would be worth more than a modified one possibly,
because it had never been modified.

Also, looking for a modem to get hooked up for my old parents to at
least try email with it.
