Using my Apple HS SCSI Card .....
I just got 2 - 2GB carts in the mail today and have successfully partitioned
one of them with 2 - 32 MB Prodos Partitions and the remainder as 2 HFS
partitions via ADU. I did not try to zero or initialize this cart via ADU..
Since my ROM 3.01F RamFast is still not functioning properly I am not able
to determine if it will read the drive.
I think I am convinced now that the RamFast format wiped out the Z tracks on
my other two carts....
My 1GB cart was working before I tried it on the RamFast not sure about the
first 2GB cart I tried .. but hey are both toast now for sure.
If you have a IIgs, my suggestion would be for you to get one more cart if
your willing and skip partitioning the drive from the ROM. Make sure the
RamFast drive is installed under GS/OS and then use ADU to partition the
drive as you like. I would avoid zeroing or initializing the drive unless
you like to live dangerously...
BTW, when I first put the cart in ... it came up and asked if I wanted to
eject or initialize the drive..the first time I said yes but it came back
with a MLI error $27....I ejected it ...started ADU and then put it back in
and was able to partition it successfully.
Hope this info helps ...
