Re: RamFast versions - software and hardware??Jazz drive...

Willi, my Ramfast card says : : U9 v3.00. I bought it in 1994. I always
assumed it was Rev.D, How do you tell? BTW there is a fellow offering to
update the EPROM on a replacement chip to 3.01f for $7 if anyone is
interested. I'm going to get one, and I'll let you know...
The Jazz cartridge is ROACHED . I have been over and over all the
fixes(Iomega support 5 times) and even my Powerbook won't recognize it
anymore. Neither will Iomega tools on the Mac. Sees the drive, but no
cartridge in it.
I'm convinced that I need to low level format the drive with a Mac utility
(Anubus?) or if you would be so kind with your High speed Card? BUT, if
after formatting and partitioning, your Ramfast still doesn't see the
cartridge, why bother??
Iomega support has even issued me a return RMA and
I might just take them up on it. But I'm not sure a new cartridge would
even help... The two I had were supposedly formatted Mac by the seller....
