Could it actually be possible?
I found a company that sells a kernel-mode driver for Windows. This
is what the description says:

It specifically says ... "provides an easy-to-use interface for FM or
MFM-encoded data" ...
I shot a mail off to their info address to see what's really up with
this. And how much it costs..
