Re: Reading Apple II Disks On PC [SydexFDD driver]
This company used to sell a program called ANADISK to the general public. I
used to have dealings with them back in the late 80' and early 90's. They
have priced their driver very high to discourage the general public from
buying it. Their main thrust now is providing forensic tools to law
enforcement and really are not interested in selling their drivers to the
general public. Even if you did come up with the thousands of dollars they
want for their drivers, they probably would not sell them to you without
proof that you were from some law enforcement agency. It's been a couple of
years since I have talked to them, so things could have changed, but I would
not hold out much hope. This being said, it would not really help the Apple
community anyway since Apple diskettes are GCR encoded and not either FM
(single density) or MFM encoded.
