hello.
After a bit of messing about I've got my GS and PPC 6100 on speaking
terms via AppleShare/AppleTalk and PhoneNet. This is mighty nice, but
of course it raises a number of questions:
1. Is there any way I can run Lynx on the Mac and let the GS access it?
2. I noticed the Mac doesn't list the GS as an available server, is
this because the GS has no hard drive, or simply that serving files
from a GS is not possible with this configuration?
3. I'd like to share a serial modem on a 2-1 serial data switch. Can I
run a printer cable from each computer's modem port to the switch
box and then run modem cable to the modem?
4. Is there any 'gateway' software available for the Mac (7.5.3) that
let me share internet connection with the GS?
5. My boot disk for the GS doesn't have room for a finder, so I'm having
to launch a second system folder on the Mac. Is there any way to put
a STARTUP program on the boot disk that will automate the process. I
found that typing "-/SHARED/SYSTEM/START" in from basic will get me
there... is there a way to have GS/OS pass control to BASIC.SYSTEM?
Thanks in advance.
