I'll see your GS case and raise you a dead NeXT cube
left by a pal who moved to Bosnia. (The story is good,
even if the comparison doesn't hold.)

I have no idea how to respond to this series
of consecutive non-sequitors (consequtors?)
I don't particularly care about what platform
you're using. Put OSX in it, it's still not
a GS. I really don't think it's a purist issue,
which is what you seem to be turning it into.
I notice you /snipped/ the metaphor:
you can have a horse -
you can have a racecar -
both have their high points -
you cannot convince yourself that you're riding
in one or the other by pretending real hard.
... or maybe you can. Best of luck to you either
way, but I have no idea why you're professing
surprise when you talk about "building the modern
Apple IIGS" in a subject line, then admit in a
follow-up that it amounts to "stuff[ing] a PC
into the IIGS case."
That's pretty much all I said, wasn't it?
It's just a case, mate. You can put handles on it and
call it an interactive lawnmower if you want.
