The OS for the IIgs is going to depend on 3 things.
Which ROM version of the IIgs you have.
How much memory your computer has.
Which drives you have

The easiest way to tell which ROM of IIgs you have is to turn it on and 
watch the startup screen. If it's a ROM O it won't give the ROM version, 
otherwise it'll say ROM Version 01 or 3

To check memory - Holding down the option key while powering up
will give you a menu with 4 choices. You want to enter the control panel 
and check the RAM Disk control panel. There add together the "Total RAM 
in Use" with the "Total free RAM" and that'll tell you how much memory 
the IIgs has,

Do you have 5.25" or 3.5" drives?
