The IIGS really acts best as a real IIGS when equipped with
a hard disk drive containing its own windowed operating
system, GS/OS System 6.0.1.
It will boot a stripped down version of the OS on a 3.5"
drive but that's about all it will do. Oh sure, you can run
GS/OS programs by swapping floppies 50 times but for all
intents and purposes, the only OSes that are usable in
floppy mode are your old IIe OSes in the GS's IIe emulation.
http://www.allelec.com/ had the Focus hard drive. Check
there and see if you can grab a drive pre-loaded with the
OS.
