The diode on the Apple SCSI cards is to supply term power. If he got it used
it probably already has the mod. At any rate, the Zip Drive will not work
alone,
even with the term power and the term switch turned on. It won't recognize
MS-DOS formatted zips either, even with MSDOS.FST installed in GS/OS.
I've tried all of that. By the way, if it does need the diode, (mine is
installed on
the back of the card), and you are afraid to mess with it, you can send it
here,
and I will install that for you. I can also put the mod files on my site for
you to
download. I will do that now, then you can go get them. ok?
