Well, both are doing quite well when you are looking for a sound emulation
via the PC speaker. They only fail strongly with programs that produce sound
while drawing some kind of animated graphics (e.g. "Test Drive"). In case
you'd like to get sound through your sound card i.e. by converting the
flip-flop speaker into .wav-format, the best AppleII sound emulation I've
ever heard was that of Kegs32. Amazingly accurate. Even the hardest sound
effects (e.g. "Destroyer", "California Games", or "Dark Lord") are
reproduced almost without a flaw. Real good.
