Getting it going under Linux was fairly straightforward, but CONFIG_ATALK
needs to be enabled in the kernel. This would indicate that the host OS
needs some minimal amount of AppleTalk support. If HP/UX doesn't provide
this support, you're not going to get netatalk running.

Taking a look at http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/faq.php#1.6, it looks like
the only supported OSes are Linux, *BSD, and Ultrix. Beta-level support for
Solaris is available. AIX appears to have been supported in earlier
versions, but is no longer supported. A porting effort to NeXTstep has
stopped, and IRIX appears to have been a non-starter. HP/UX isn't even
listed.

If your hardware is supported by Linux, FreeBSD, or NetBSD, your best bet
might be to replace HP/UX with one of those.
