Introduction
==========================

Happy New Year!! This is a new weekly newsletter from the Apple
Pugetsound Prgram Library Exchange, an official Apple Users Group and
publishers of Call-A.P.P.L.E. Magazine. Each week, we will be
outlining some of the news making items in the Apple 2, Macintosh and
Linux/Unix world in this newsletter and posting it free to the UseNet
Groups.

While this is not meant to replace the monthly magazine, it is
intended to give users a heads up on items which may be of interest
and links to those items.  For those of you that have been receiving
the A.P.P.L.E. updates that were sent out periodically over the last
year, you will be receiving this from here on.  The Bytes From The
Apple newsletter will be a weekly issue and will contain bits of
interesting information from the Apple and Linux  world each week.
