The first thing I would try would be to replace the Zip Chip with a
normal 65C02. My guess is that the Zip Chip died. I've heard that
there was a design problem with certain models of the Zip that would
cause them to fail after extended use.
If you're lucky and the Zip is still good then a replacement
motherboard can be had cheaply from eBay. The Australian PAL version
of the motherboard may be a bit more of a challenge however.
