Chris:I have a IIc+ but no original disks or docs for it either. I only use the 3.5" drive for ProDOS applications like AppleWorks and the like. The IIc+ shines as a very fast IIe and the storage capacity of the 3.5" drive is great for big applications (AppleWorks or AppleWriter 2).If I can be of any assistance, let me know. But you have the basics down as to what you need to do.You are correct that DOS 3.3 will not recognize the 3.5" drive. DOS 3.3 is tied to the 5.25" drives for the most part. That version of DOS or some form of it binds most Apple II programs to the 5.25" disk it came on so the 3.5" drive will not help much with most programs you may want to run.
Ed, you know very well that DOS 3.3 can work on 400K 3.5" disks. One of the programs that AppleLinc got verbal permission to release as free ware allowed that very thing.
Of course, it seems a real waste to use only 400 of the 800K on a 3.5" disk....

I'd suggest you start by getting a copy of the System Utility disk or Copy II+ and use it to get started into your ProDOS excursion. I prefer Copy II+ 8.x as my utilities of choice for ProDOS.Thankx, Ed eeastmanNO@SPAMapple2.com Chris Morse wrote:Just got an Apple //c+ from eBay,
