Harmonie is a 3rd party software package that includes GS/OS Printer
Drivers for DeskJet (and other high quality) printers. If you ever want to
print anything with the DeskJet from GS/OS, you will need to purchase
Harmonie.

Although Pointless isn't required, without it, you'll be limited to using
the only types of fonts that GS/OS knows about: bit-mapped fonts. With
those, you'll suffer a bad case of "the jaggies." So, Pointless is yet
another 3rd party software package that adds something to GS/OS; it allows
you to use True Type fonts.

So, the software combo of Harmonie/Pointless will allow you to get the
most use out of that DeskJet. And, again, Pointless is optional, but
Harmonie is a requirement. Without it, you can't use the DeskJet with
GS/OS-based software.

More information about both Harmonie and Pointless can be found
at: http://users.foxvalley.net/~joko

Additionally, both programs can be ordered online, and paid for with a
credit card at: http://order.kagi.com/?zs3

The cost of each program is only $20, and that includes postage.
