Hi Mark,
That is the case on all the 2+ machines I have ever had.
2e,2c are a bit different, since they automatically disable the
language card on a reset, so without a hardware mod you
can't easily reset into the Original monitor.
Mini-assembler is not actually in the monitor area (F8-FF) area anyway,
but the original monitor is better if you are playing with the
mini-assembler,
since you have access to step and trace routines, which were removed
in the Autostart monitor.
