Re: Mini-Assembler on Apple II+?

Hello,

I owned an Apple ][+ clone, an Apple 2e and then a 2GS. The mini-assembler was originally supplied along with integer BASIC in the 12Kb ROM space of the apple ][. The Apple ][+ has Applesoft BASIC which has floating-point math support but Apple had to drop the mini-assembler from ROM to accomodate the more powerful BASIC interpreter. To accomodate other programing languages, a 16K memory card (slot 0 only) known as the Language Card was supplied with ][+ to allow user to run programs in integer BASIC and use mini-assembler. The card allowed support for other languages such as FORTH, LOGO and PASCAL. There is a DOS 3.3 program which installs original ROM content in the Language Card and I think it's called INTBASIC but I'm not sure here: maybe I'm confused with old IBM PC stuff :-)

My ][+ clone had 24 kb ROM. A switch let me select between integer or Applesoft BASIC. T'was Pretty neat. The //e has 128kb RAM so it has a built-in language card and extra memory banks. The 2gs memory map in 16 bit mode is unknown to me... for now.

Mini-Assembler on Apple II+?

I did review Apple II Reference. It shows that Mini-Assembler is not
available on Apple II+. Why Mni-Assembler is printed in Apple II Reference
that is supposed to exist for Apple //e and Apple //c? Please advise.
