Hi,
 It is a stereo sound card for the IIgs. Some of them had a second
card that was attached it these would let you imput sounds to the
computer. You need no software to use it to hear certain games that
were in stereo. Games that were not stereo, will only come out of one
speaker.
 If it has the second card plugged into the back you might need
software to input the sounds into the computer.
