This will only apply to *NEW* Mac models introduced in 2003 according to 
the press release:

I may be proven wrong, but there's no sense in going Chicken Little 
until it actually happens.  And there'll always be plenty of older 
PowerMacs for sale from people upgrading to newer Macs.
