I have a CD drive on my IIgs. It can read PC and Mac CDs with no difficulty.

If your PC has a SCSI card, then with the right software you should be able to also backup your IIgs hard drive, assuming it's SCSI. Using Toast on a Mac, I'd have the IIgs hard drive hooked up to it's SCSI card but left off until after booting. Then I'd turn it on and of course it wouldn't be recognized but Toast would know it was there and would do a "Device Copy" onto a CD and produce a partitioned ProDOS CD which was bootable on the IIgs.
