Re: Math coprocessor for PC Transporter?

Hello. Good luck in your search for an 8087-2.
I would like to comment on why "old PC stuff is worth nothing compared
to A2 of similar or older vintage". The reason Apple II stuff is able to
bring a higher price compared to PC stuff is simple supply and demand. How
many PC owners want a 16-bit ISA SCSI card from 1989, especially compared to
what is available since then? Almost none. How many Apple II owners want a
SCSI card from 1989? Almost all of us! :-) Just as many PC owners wished
they had a 2+ GHz machine with 512MB RAM, DVD burner, 21" monitor, 200 GB
hard drives in RAID configuration, $400 video card, etc., pretty much all of
us Apple II owners want a card for a hard drive, an accelerator and
additional RAM (IIgs more often than 8-bit). Some of this hardware was not
produced in high numbers, so the price goes up.

Just my opinion,
Jason Whorton
