That would be great advice *if* there was an appropriate place to post
questions about older Macintosh computers.  But there isn't any such place
on usenet because the Mac crowd is much like the Windows crowd: upgrade,
upgrade, upgrade!

There is room for such discussions on mailing lists.  Low End Mac offers
several such lists, but some of us prefer to separate personal and public
communication (and some of us can't use filters to do that because we
access our mail with different software from different locations).  It's a
no win situation.
