        I think that's wrong - the Z8 and the Z80 are completely
different architectures. 

        Hitachi made the 64180 series, which were Z80 compatible and
had a number of support "chips" integrated, including a bank-switched
memory management unit, a couple of counter/timers, and two serial
ports. I *think* the Z180 may have been functionally identical.
