I know both 5.25 and 3.5 have "bit rot".  I certainly see a lot of old 3.5's
that are bad too.  I'm somewhat amazed at how many of these 5.25" disks still
worked.  One thing though they are slower than 3.5's this is one reason to put
them on 3.5's.  I can't use CD-R's on my Apple II though.  Sure CD's could be
backup, but these 3.5's are to be backups that I can use.
 
And while I'm doing it I'm looking at old programs.
