Put it like this, Bruce: You may not be able to use CD-Rs on your Apple II
(I have the same problem), but you can preserve your data on CD-Rs that can
be read across a network. I hang a ZIP drive off the back of my Quadra, and
I dump my old Apple II stuff to a ZIP disk. As I don't yet have a burner
for my Macs, I take my ZIPs to a friend, who dutifully burns 'em to a CD for
me, and voila, I've cleared out tons of shelf space. Like some of the other
comments that were made about entropy's taking its toll on all media, I keep
copies of these CDs, just in case of accidents or disasters.
