Re: mounting prodos (was Mastery Development HD)



The ProDos extension was part of the software for the Apple IIe card.
Its still available for download from the Apple web sites last time I
looked.  It allowed the Mac LC and others with the same slot, to use a
card that emulated the IIe in hardware.  The software allowed the use of
ProDos disks (floppy and fixed) on the mac, and also 'turned on' the
function of the card to emulate a IIe.

The PC Exchange software came with Mac OS 7.1.2 and 7.5 but was also
sold separately.  It allowed the mac to recognize DSHD pc/msdos
floppies, as well as dsdd ProDos floppies.  Since by that time, the macs
with the slot to use the IIe card were off the market, it essentially
replaced the ProDos extension in functionality for the rest of you.
