I agree with most of the above, BUT It only applied to System 7.5. I know
for a fact that System 7.1P still had the ProDOS extension. OS 7.5 and
later only needed PC Exchange to mount ProDOS disks. Also certain macs
made in the mid '90s had shitty high density drives that could not read
DSDD disks of any format, be it ProDOS, HFS, or MS-DOS.
