Why should we tell you when you can do the homework fairly easily? There are FAQs, sites, etc. I don't say this to shout down honest questions. I say this to illustrate the difference in tone between the interested soul ("Hey! I just found this neat computer my friend wanted to get rid of and was wondering if...") and your post ("A challenge for you Apple II Tech types...tell me if.") Hear the difference? When strangers start ordering you around, hackles rise.
I am here as I am curious if these older computers are able to use the Internet. I'd like to set one up just for a fun challenge. Many people respond to my posts in a positive manor, but of coarse there are always a few who jump to conclusions without knowing what they are talking about, or even reading my post.
