GSOS boot problems

I am in the process of setting up another CFFA card with 256Meg flashcard.
I installed the CFFA and copied my harddrive to partition 1. Fine, except
for a couple of boot problems:

I have forgotten some of my GSOS basics. I have my boot drive set to
"automagically" mount a couple Mac fileservers during bootup.

I want to disable the auto-mounting of one of the Mac servers. I can't
remember how I enabled auto-mounting and so I can't find how to 'undo' it.
I'm looking for a 'Startup Items' folder like in MacOS, but obviously
there isn't one I can find.

FYI, in the Appleshare control panel, the box next to each of these
servers is NOT checked. If I am autologged in, these server's volumes are
dimmed. If I logout (drag to trash), and relogin the boxes are NOT
checked, and marking them to set name/password and then unchecking them
does NOT help.

Second, later in the boot process from the CFFA, just after MUGS icon but
before Finder menubar shows, I get a message to insert disk HD1 (my
harddrive's boot partition). I can CANCEL or CONTINUE (?forgot exact
choice) if the harddrive is not poweredup, or insert a floppy named HD1,
or boot the CFFA with the harddrive powered on. What is the boot process
(Finder?) doing looking for HD1? If the harddrive HD1 is present, the
fimder menubar shows the File, Edit ... Colors menu, HD1 flashes a lot of
I/O, then the Special item is added (for Finder Extras), then the boot
drive icon appears followed by other icons as the servers and drives are
accessed. How can I get rid of the need for 'HD1' to be present?

Help? (GS/OS System 6.0.1) [A clean install of sys6.0.1 would be too
easy a solution. I want to know how I configured this mess.]
