Solved:  I deleted the 'Appleshare.Prep' file in System/System.setups.

Still working on this.  I thought perhaps it was a problem with
'QuickLaunch' since QuickLaunch list referred to applics on HD1.  But
after fixing all of the QuickLaunch list files, the insert HD1 message
persists.  Ummm ...   BTW, is/was there an easier way to edit the resource
fork of QuickLaunch without going through process of removing/adding each
applic, or "locating" each applic after QL failed to find HD1?

Is there any utility to find "HD1" string in forked files?  Davex "find"
command does OK with regular ProDOS files, but not with extended (forked)
files.  Hermes can load a resource fork as raw binary, but I am afraid to
make any changes with it.
