Aging systems

It is just a tad funny that people have lost sight of this.. That a
small aging system can still do jobs quite well. We have a tendency to
keep seeking faster, more powerful and greater storage until we are so
far beyond anything we could really use. This 70 gigs of space I have
will only really be filled by games and music, not by anything written
by me. If everyone else flees the Apple II scene, I intend to keep a
IIgs (and maybe a small army locked away for replacements) as my main
system to reinforce a more utilitarian view. Then again, maybe I'm
headed to struggle with a funny jacket in a room with puffy wallpaper.
