Interesting. Locally, I think the last Apple II's in schools were surplussed
about 4 years ago.

No doubt there are still people using Apple II's as their main computer, and
good for them. However, their numbers will dwindle with time. New Apple II
converts will be virtually all hobbiests. People who know AppleWorks inside
and out may have little incentive to switch to MS Office if AW meets their
needs, but no one is going to switch from Office to AW.
